Description: Major Harding's Abode, our largest cottage, has 4 bedrooms, and 3 1/2 baths. The main floor houses the master bedroom which has a king sized bed and a private bath. The large living/dining/kitchen area has a cathedral ceiling and is also on this level. There is a fireplace, TV, VCR, DVD, and CD player along with major appliances including a microwave and a large dining area. There is a half bath and a deck as well. Downstairs in the walk-out basement there are three bedrooms and 2 full sized baths. The first bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen sized bed plus a daybed, and the third bedroom has 2 twin sized beds. The full sized washer and dryer is also located on this level. There is a hot tub located on a very large, very private, covered deck and a grill, hammock and fire ring in the yard. Linens, towels and a generous portion of fire wood are all provided. This cottage is also located adjacent to CARNIFEX FERRY BATTLEFIELD STATE PARK where there are miles of trails to hike and 3 overlooks of the GAULEY RIVER GORGE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA. It is also a 2 minute drive from the beach at SUMMERSVILLE LAKE and 20 minutes from the NEW RIVER GORGE BRIDGE AND NATIONAL RIVER. It's also 30 to 45 minutes away from several other DANDY DAY TRIPS. |
