Take US RT. 19 SOUTH about 35 miles until you see a sign that says

• SUMMERSVILLE DAM
• GAULEY RIVER N.R.A.
• CARNIFEX BATTLEFIELD

This sign is about 6 miles SOUTH of SUMMERSVILLE.

When you see this sign, make a right on to STATE RT. 129 WEST.

Follow RT. 129 WEST 5.2 miles until you reach CARNIFEX FERRY ROAD. Turn LEFT.

Follow CARNIFEX FERRY RD 6/10 of a mile and you will see the sign for CARNIFEX FERRY COTTAGES on your left.
