We know, we know. You’re really enjoying your stay at either the Driftwood Lodge or Carnifex Ferry Cottages, but you know there’s more out there. Maybe you’ve just got this uncontrollable urge to shop, or learn more about the area and its history. Well, we’ve come to the rescue again. We’ve put together some fun “Day Trips” for your enjoyment. You won’t have to visit hotels, motels, and the local greasy spoon to find brochures that leave you a little unsure of what to expect. Neither will you have to trust the travel agent at the other end of that 800 number in New York telling you what looks good while looking at a text-only Sabre terminal (they’re actually looking to see which attractions pay the biggest commissions). We’ve lived in this area all our lives, and if we don’t know what’s worth the price of admission, then no one does. Enjoy!
