About Cabins and cottages in West Virginia

Relax with your family and friends in our very private cottages nestled in the trees. You’ll be surrounded by a forest that’s filled with paths to explore and nature to enjoy.

All cottages are fully equipped with hot tubs, fireplaces, complete kitchens, linens, laundry facilities, large decks with grills, television, stereo, air conditioning and hammocks.

It is a short hike to the upper Gauley River, the “Beast of the East” as whitewater enthusiasts call it. Here, you can watch as whitewater enthusiasts battle the class V+ rapid, Pillow Rock, catch you next meal (great fishing!), or just relax on  any one of the many boulders strewn along the river bank.

Speaking of hiking, there are several trails accessible from the front door of your cabin covering 200 acres with 3 magnificent overlooks! One trail leads to Pillow Rock, one of the most intense rapids in the eastern United States! Summersville Lake is also a short distance away, offering beaches, boating, fishing, and jet skiing.

The New River and New River Gorge Bridge are also nearby. The river is popular with fishermen and rafting enthusiasts and the bridge is a spectacular sight!

Those looking for that unique West Virginia gift can take a shopping trip to Tamarack, a 59,000 square foot  complex full of “West Virginia Made”  art, crafts, gift items, and food.

The area also offers a surprising variety of restaurants serving anything from local favorites to seafood. There are also a number of bars where you can find entertainment or just quench your thirst.

With snow skiing, rock climbing, bird and animal watching, hunting, fishing, golf and tennis all nearby, this part of West Virginia near Summersville, offers something for everyone year round!
