Come Anytime! Our Cabins are Open Year Round!
Our West Virginia cabin offerings include:
Go to our Location/Contact Us Page for more information on exactly where our cabins are located.
There are several hiking trails accessible from the front door of your Carnifex Ferry Cottage covering 200 acres with 3 magnificent overlooks! One trail leads to the upper Gauley River, the Beast of the East as whitewater enthusiasts call it, and the class V+ rapid, Pillow Rock, one of the most intense rapids in the eastern United States! Here, during Gauley season, you have a front row seat to watch as whitewater paddlers and kayakers battle the rapid, catch your next meal (great fishing!), or just relax on any one of the many boulders strewn along the river bank while the sound of the rushing water washes away your cares. Summersville Lake is a short hike from the Driftwood Lodge cabin, offering beaches, boating, fishing, and jet skiing.
All of our West Virginia cabins are near the New River and New River Gorge Bridge. The New River is popular with fishermen and paddlers and the bridge is a spectacular sight! Visit us during Bridge Day to watch B.A.S.E. jumpers test their skill and nerve as they plummit toward the New River over 890 feet below but book a cabin early as this weekend is always sold out!
Follow our links to the left and at the top of the page for more info on shopping; tours and attractions; beautiful day trips; restaurants; and a bounty of outdoor sports including whitewater rafting and canopy tours. This area of West Virginia offers something for everyone year round!
